Roadside emergency
A3 tyre emergency? We’re on our way.
The A3 is pothole country. Most of our emergency calls on this route are damaged sidewalls from kerb hits or potholes around the Robin Hood roundabout, Tolworth and Esher slip roads. Coverage: Kingston / New Malden through Esher, Cobham, Guildford to the Hindhead Tunnel.
Get to safety first.
Read the four steps below before doing anything else. If you can’t reach safety, dial 999 then call us.
What to do right now on the A3
- Pull onto the hard shoulder or into a lay-by if there is one nearby.
- On the dual carriageway section, never attempt a roadside change yourself — wait for us, with hazards on.
- Tell us the closest junction or named slip (e.g. "northbound just past Esher Common") and your direction of travel.
- Stay out of the car, behind the barrier, until we arrive.
When you call us, have this ready
- Location: motorway, direction of travel, nearest junction or marker post.
- Vehicle: make, model, and rough tyre size (or current tyre brand if you can see it).
- Damage: sidewall, tread, or sudden blowout? Helps us load the right kit.
- Phone signal: are you reachable? We’ll text you en route.
